Adreya is the younger sister of Ares and Azariah, and is the witch responsible for binding them
together and casting the amnesia spell over them. Commanded by their father to execute the
punishment, and eager for his approval, she obediently merged her older brothers into one body.
Although, just as she was finishing the amnesia spell, her brother Azariah had awakened.
Confused and angry, he attacked her and immediately portaled out before she had the chance
to catch them. She now conjures her own portals and searches the endless universes for her
brothers, with hordes of her father’s army of undead at her command.
As long lived beings from another planet and universe, the siblings belong to the
royal family of the Northern hemisphere, under their father’s malignant reign. The death of
his wife during Adreya’s birth sent the King down a dark, maddening path, one that began
with him desecrating her grave, just so that he could see her one last time.
It didn’t take long to see, after the many years, how Adreya began to look more and more
like her dead mother. Apart from her striking white hair and eyes, which were passed down
to her from her father, Adreya looked exactly like her mother. Resenting her for these things
that she couldn’t control, her father always found it difficult to look upon his only daughter.
Without his Queen, the King was prone to long fits of rage and depression, neither of which
were good for their kingdom. It meant more people would die, it meant more undead soldiers,
and eventually, it meant the one and only attempt at revolution the people ever made. After so
many of them began to perish under their King’s reign, they rallied themselves up and stormed
the castle. Only to be swarmed by hordes of the undead, including their own undead family
members. Anyone that dared to speak against the King, often disappeared without a trace soon
after, never to be heard from again. Since the King was a powerful Necromancer and warlock,
it was futile and childish to think they would ever be free again.
Before she was even born, Adreya attracted spirits and entities of all kinds around her from
within her mother’s womb. This meant the good, as well as the bad. Her mother grew weaker
as the months passed, the very life being siphoned from her by her own child. She began seeing
evil spirits, demons and the like towards the end of her pregnancy. It wasn’t until she was in labour
that the spirit of her grandfather arrived, fending off the dark spirits that were all attracted,
and intensely curious about the birth. They had not physically harmed the mother, but seemed
to have been whispering things to the baby for weeks, which drove her mentally insane. She found
peace only once she heard Adreya’s powerful cries, and named her with her last breath.
Growing up, she had always been able to see the ghosts and demons around her.
Only becoming frightened when they tried attacking, she soon lost the ability to see them
naturally, having become terrified of seeing and hearing the other plane. Not long after she
quit seeing them on her own, Adreya began to get sick. It seemed as though her health was
connected to her powers in some way, because only when her other grandfather, on her
father’s side, began visiting her when she was sick, Adreya would regain her health.
